I have never used a service like yours before, what can I expect?

You can expect an unforgettable magical event!  Our princesses provide entertainment for the party with many different activities and engaging personalities, so there is less stress for you, to have to worry about entertaining your royal guests.  

 

Will I be expected to provide anything?

We bring everythig required for our royal adventures, all we require is an electrical outlet.  Many of our activities do require some space to play, but we can work with what you have.

 

Will you entertain them the entire time?

While our parties are designed to entertain the entire time, during activities such as face painting or mini makeovers it works great to serve snacks while they are waiting for their turn.  We also provide coloring and art activities to help keep the children waiting engaged and having fun.

 

I will have guests 2 and under at the party, is there anything I should know?

The smallest royal guests tend to be either entranced by the character or confused. We will always do our best to include them in games and activities, however, if you have a large number of young guests, it would be appreciated if there was help explaining the games and activities to help them understand. 

 

What is the perfect age for a party?

We find princesses between the ages of 3 and 7 are the perfect age group for a magical visit!  We have done parties for large age ranges and adults as well as small children, so any age loves making magical memories, but we find the 3-7 year olds get the most out of it.  All our royal friends are unique though, so princess fun is for everyone!

 

We have recently been to a Disney attraction and have met a/many characters!

Wonderful!  It is helpful if you inform the Fairy Godmother when you book to bring our princess up to speed with your child's experiences to make the magic seamless.

 

What are these activities you keep mentioning?

We offer a variety of activities which are customizable to your event! You may choose to participate in Interactive Story Time, Games (themed around the character you choose), Art Time, Crafts, Makeovers/Temporary Tattoos, Dress Up/Fashion Show, and a Sing and Dance Along or a combination of these.

 

How much does it cost?

This all depends on the length of time you would like the performer to entertain, your location and the activities you choose.  Each package is customized to you!  To get a quote please fill out the information sheet on the Contact Us page or email us all your party details to dreamscometrueentertainment@gmail.com.  We will get you a quote ASAP and from there you can decide if you would like to book or not.  If you would, all we require is a 20% non-refundable deposit (payable through paypal, check or money order through the mail, or credit/debit card over the phone), then you pay the remaining balance on the day of your event.  The deposit is non-refundable because once you book with us, your date and time are reserved and we schedule other events around you, so if you cancel last minute, we have turned away other business we may have had.  

 

What do makeovers consist of?

Our princess will have your royal guests looking their best with eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss.

 

Should I tell my birthday girl that a princess is attending her party?

This is completely up to you! We do find that a superise is the best option but it depends on your child.

 

What about parking?

We generally try to park a little ways down the street, and walk up to the party, in case there are curious small eyes watching for the princess arrival.  We want the magic as real as possible, so we do not want the royal guests seeing the princess drive up in a car.

 

Do you buy your costumes from a costume store?

Absolutely not! Our costumes are all custom made by our Fairy Godmother, a professional seamstress from scratch just for us! We use the best fabrics and materials, and use high quality adornments for the fabric such as Swarovski Crystals. For specialty items such as wigs we buy extremely high quality custom items that are theme park or movie quality. We go to great lengths to provide the authenticity you and your child would expect of a fairytale princess!  We are the real deal and have invested tens of thousands of dollars in costuming and wigs.  

 

This sounds great! How do I go about booking a party?

The best and fastest way is to email our Fairy Godmother, Amy at dreamscometrueentertainment@gmail.com or fill out our contact form on the Contact Us page. We do also have a phone line as well, but since we run two locations and our owner is also lead performer and performs events in both states along with running the busines, sometimes it taks a few days to return calls.

Once she has the information she needs she will send you a quote for your requests for you to decide if you would like to book or not. Next you will need to send your deposit. We accept Paypal, check or money order through the mail, or a credit/debit card over the phone. For Paypal, we will send the invoice to your email, you can pay by debit or credit, with no need to sign up for an account. We will confirm with you once your deposit is paid.

 

Keep in mind your party is NOT booked until your deposit is paid. Please pay as soon as possible to avoid losing your preferred date and time!

 

When is the final payment due?

The final payment is due the date of your event and is payable by cash or a check made out to Amy Sharpe, our owner.  Since we are a small business, we do not yet qualify for a business account, and the bank will not honor checks made out to the business name.

 

I have to cancel my party! What are my options?

Should an unexpected illness or event occur please call or email us right away and let us know. Deposits are non-refundable.

 

How did you get into doing this?  How long have you been in business?

Dreams Come True Entertainment was founded in early 2012 and we have performed hundreds of events since we have been established.  Amy has always loved creating the most authentic looking costumes she can, and striving to be a great actress for over 10 years, when she discovered performing as fairytale characters for special events.  

 

It is the week of the party! What can I expect?

You should receive a pre-party email from our Fairy Godmother with all the details for your party. She will go through a play by play of the party and go over your party details with you to make sure everything is in place. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. 

 

Does our princess perform as other princesses too?

Many of our performers portray more than one character, and you may request a particular performer if you wish.  All of our performers are wonderful and will be placed in the most beneficial events for the guests and the performers, and we will do our best to honor performer requests.  Should you wish to ask your performer questions, please remember there are children around who believe, please do no speak business with her, or ask personal questions about herself as she will be in character in the party.   The photographer or royal attendant  can answer most questions, but please be careful what you say and how you word things because small ears hear a lot.

 

When will my princess leave?

We try to do all of the scheduled activities first and end with the cake cutting and singing, "Happy Birthday" for the smoothest transition into our exit.  Please be aware most of the time we have many events scheduled back to back so your princess most likely has another party to attend after your event, so your help in ensuring all children stay inside after she leaves is appreciated.

 

Do I tip my princess?

Gratuities are not included or required, but greatly appreciated if you are impressed with your royal gathering. We always send out surveys through email to find out how your magical experience went, and this is a great time to express any praise, concerns to the Royal Attendant/Photographer so we can make sure you are 110% satisfied with your magical gathering.  We LOVE getting feedback and seeing your photos and hearing your memories from your time with us, so please feel free to email them to us, express it on the survey or post on our facebook page.
